Default Eagle Eye

I just saw this movie for the first time. (On the Glory of the Blu)
(Yeah, I know I'm a bit behind, been trying to keep up with all the awesome blu's I got)

Epic. Seriously Epic.

Anyone think there is a chance of a sequel?

Yes. In Hollywood every movie has a sequel chance. I thought it was a great movie, but making a good sequel would be difficult in my mind.

I rented a couple weeks ago and liked it, didn't think it was epic, but I picked it up yesterday (used).

I don't think it needs a sequel.

In your mind, what would the sequel consist of? Keep in mind that I have recently seen the movie and know quite clearly how it ended.

I thought it was all right, but definitely more of a one off sort of film. Not sure how the box office was though.

ARIA is clearly still functioning when she watches the concert. She uploaded 27% to the satelite. I would think she would try to finish off Shia.

Plus the ending irked me a bit. It just ended before they talked or anything. Kind of a good dropping off point if you want to make a sequel.

I dug the movie a lot. In Hollywood all sequels are possible. As long as enough $$$ is at the end of the equation they'll make it.

This movie was good for mindless action. But the downfalls..

1. Too long.
2. The Hal-9000 wannabe is in total control the entire movie, our two protagonists are in its "home" with a handgun yet feel powerless to stop it.
3. The Hal-9000 wannabe is destroyed with a pipe. Just stick a pipe in its "Eagle Eye" and the entire thing blows up!
4. Shia LeBouf. And I don't care if he has a beard, he still looks and sounds like he is 12.

I'm sure we can think of more later.

The reason why ARIA wouldn't finish off Shia at that time is because it was more important to keep itself functioning still by putting all its output to the satelite transfer.

Exactly why they could make a sequel. It has survived, the plan failed.

Yea Shia Lebouef has been in some good films as of late and I am sure the new Transformers movie will be another blockbuster for him. The guy has the "touch" at least for now.
