Default Do you think any of these will ever come out to blu-ray?

Animaniacs/Invader Zim/Pinky and the Brain.. Basically the cartoon shows. How good do cartoons look on blu ray anyway? Also, do you guys think sitcoms are worth the money to upgrade from dvd to bluray when they come out? I like Seinfeld/How I met your Mother/Big Bang Theory.

I would say it is very doubtful. I believe the masters for those shows are only on videotape so the dvds are about as nice as those shows will look. I think the dvds are pretty good in this case.

Freakazoid! certainly doesn't look all that hot. Good show and all, but the quality of the picture is really bad.

But who knows. If anything should be able to be upscaled well, it's flat traditional animation. Throw a good remaster together that also upscales it better than our TV can in real time, and it might be worth it, even if the masters are only SD tape and there exists no film master anywhere.

As far as double dipping for TV seasons, I just don't think I will for any that I own. I love Seinfeld, but there is no way I'm rebuying 9 seasons on Blu. Let's say each season goes for $50, then that's $400! (seasons 1 & 2 released in same package) I just don't want to put that much toward a title I already own. Now as far as spending it on new Blu's.....

The same goes for me; I will not re-purchase any TV show I have. Now if I can wait for the Blu, that is fine in certain instances. I probably will not buy certain things like Venture Bros. or Metalocalypse on BD but I just got Band of Brothers and Dexter which look great.
