Hello all, I've been looking for a better sub for our dedicated theater room to replace the 12 year old 200w cerwin vega 12inch I have been using for forever. I stopped in best buy and they had their open box table in magnolia set up. They had a open box Definitive technologies Prosub 800 for 229.00 I went and looked at it and noticed another sign that said it was another 60% off so I picked it up for $102.00 retail was 450.00. Has a few chips in the wood but is in very good shape hooked it up and this little 8 inch sub has some balls . I am still tunning it and getting used of the settings on it but I'm pretty impressed. The room is 13x18 and I was worried it would be underpowered for the room but moving it around and calibrating it is asking it sound better. Think I got a decent sub at a decent price? It's not as loud as my cerwin vega, but the vega tended to bottom out and sounded muddy and didn't have LFE output so it is hard to tune. What do you think?
