Default Which reciever has the most bang for the buck

Of the these three reciever which is the best buy for the money?

Yamaha RX-V663BL $374.25
Onkyo TX-SR606 ~ $319.99-$349.99
Denon AVR 1909 $486.75

If I'm using these speakers with it for now is it even worth it. Spherex Xbox 5.1 Speaker System

Or should I wait a bit more for better deal.

I don't know that much about denon's except that they are great receivers, if it has a pre-pro like the yamaha, then I would say the denon, otherwise the yamaha. that is a great price on the yammy.

Hey! I had ask you that and you told me it was the new AMP that was doing the whole sounding better thing.

So, now you are saying that the AMP + the 663 working together make a good set-up?

********* EDIT *********
Here is the question and answer

I think the Pioneer VSX 1018 deserves to be in the discussing, you can get it for around 430 or a little cheaper. if your looking at that, the Denon and the yamaha, I wouldn't bother with the 606, those are definitely in another league than the 606.

Thanks you all. I'm not leaning toward the Yamaha RX-V663BL and Denon AVR 1909. Is the Denon 1909 worth the extra 100 over the Yamaha 663? Anyone have experience with both of these?

I read a review the other day that positively glowed about those speakers.... other than the sub that is.

I have the Yamaha V663 and it drives my not so efficient Energy C300 towers superbly well. I have never heard any distortion or clipping from the loudest levels I have listened to on any of my BD movies. The Yamaha V663 is great for music as well as HT. Those V663 pre-outs will come in handy whenever I finally decide to buy a NAD T-955 five channel power amplifier or something very similar.

I have read in other threads great things about the Onkyo 606 and that it drives the Energy C300s very well too. The Onkyo has one more HDMI input if you need it. The V663 has only two.

However, my biased opinion is to get the Yamaha. I just simply love Yamaha.

I have a 606 and I really like it. It's also my first "real" receiver because my last was a typical HTiB where the receiver was a 5 disc carosel dvd/cd player. I think it put out a whopping 40watts/channel as well, including the sub.

I only make use of 2 of the 4 HDMI inputs. Also, if you plan on upgrading to speakers that require more power just get the receiver with the preamp capability.

You may want to consider the Denon AVR-789 instead of the AVR-1909 in your comparisons. The only difference is a port for a second remote I think. Would be cheaper for basically the same receiver...

Bang for the buck? Without question - bang for the buck ... today it would be (drumroll please) the Pioneer VSX-1018 AH-K and the Yamaha RX-V663! You can get the Pioneer shipped for 445.00 from here http://powersellernyc.com/product/vi...ver-22480.html Dollar per dollar no other receiver has as many features as this one, but for the buck and bang you can get the Yamaha for 343.00 from here http://www.dbuys.com/product/?51510&...32710559&sk1=1 It's only drawback is the fact that it only has 2 HDMI inputs (you can add an inexpensive HDMI box and add more inputs) but other than that - these two give you the most bang for the buck! I would place the Onkyo 606 right behind these two. The Onkyo has 3 HDMI ins but - the other two have so many more features - plus they have Preouts. If the Onkyo had preouts I would place it with the other two.

Is there any way you could go listen to any of these recievers.
You have listed 3 amazing companies with 3 different personalities.

I love Denon,And i Love Yamaha,I don't know Onkyo.
Seriously i don't think you will be disappointed with any decision you make out of the 3 you listed

3 awesome companies that know what there doing and they all do it well.

What name would you like to have setting in your room.Denon ,Onyko or Yamaha.Pick one and trust it.You'll be fine

Has anyone bought anything from these two online retailers?

I was planning on buying from 6Ave.com but now the Yamaha 663 are sold out.
