Default Strange Blue Lines along the top of Aquos

Hi everyone,

So lately I've noticed when playing DVD's on my PS3 there are these blue lines that appear along the very very top of the screen, above the letterbox bar right at the frame of the set itself. They seem to move with the onscreen action; for example if a character is walking across the screen, the blue bars follow above the actors head across screen. I haven't experimented with it too extensively, like I haven't tried using another DVD player or anything and I haven't ever noticed it with a Blu Ray. I don't know if its the PS3, TV, my settings on either one or what. I took some pictures of it while I was watching The Transporter on DVD tonight. If anyone has any experience with this or suggestions let me know please. Thanks in advance!!

Oh and looking at these pictures reminded me of another question maybe someone could help with. Since I got this TV it seems like flesh tones are really off. If the exposure of the actor is really bright or well lit it's fine, but if they are in the shade or in a darker seen their skin is very red, much like this guy in The Transporter. Granted this is from a DVD but it happens with all my Blu Rays too. Thanks again and sorry for all the babbling!!

Seems like an over/underscan symptom. Check the player and see if there is an adjustment (pixel adjustment on my player)

that definitely looks like it's just underscan... you get weird things from underscan because all video is designed with 2.5%-5% overscan in mind, so they usually don't pay too much attention to the very edges... as far as your flesh tones... that could be any number of things... what model TV is it and what are your picture settings?

It looks like the screen is in "torch mode" (way too intense) and it needs to be dialed down. Brightness and intensity may just be too high.

See what happens when you dial back your settings for intensity, contrast, things like that.
