Rear Speakers Wiring

When I get my rear speakers, i will have to run them obviosly from my receiver to my back wall. this will be in the basement, so no going throught he floor. I *might* be able to go under the carpet, but I do not think so.

so, i was thinking I saw some thing that covered up the wire that was like white and taped or glued or something into the wall, and run that on the corners all the way around...then, when I paint the walls, i will just paint those. Sorta like those big things they use to cover up cords at live events, but on the wall, best way I can really describe it.

does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, whats it called and where cand I find it?
