Uncharted Collection Out July 22nd (Drake's Fortune/Among Thieves)

For those gamers out there who for some reason haven’t played the first two Uncharted games but want to get caught up on the story before Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception releases, you will have a great opportunity to do just that at a cheaper price. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have officially confirmed that the Uncharted Collection will be releasing next month on the PlayStation 3, after we spotted it at E3 earlier this month.

In the bundle, gamers will receive Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, along with goodies for the upcoming Drake’s Deception in the form of a dynamic PS3 theme and an avatar.

The bundle, which appeared this morning on a retailer website, will release on July 22 and include the first two series entries, Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves, an SCEE spokesperson confirmed to CVG.

The bundle will also include additional Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception goodies in the form of a dynamic PS3 theme and an avatar.

The Uncharted Collection will arrive on the same day as the previously confirmed Resistance Dual Pack, which includes the first two entries and an exclusive skin for Resistance 3, Sony said.

A Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction & Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time bundle, which includes 4 avatars featuring Ratchet, Clank, Qwark & Nefarious, plus an exclusive Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One dynamic theme, is the third pack out on July 22.

Well... interesting.... I still don't own any of the UC games but have been meaning to pick them up :-D Wondering is AT is the GOTY edition.. hmn :-D

I kind of wonder whether or not it'll be BOTH games on 1 Bluray disc or if it'll be just a bundled package of the two previously issued games.

If they are both on a single disc, I'd definitely buy that.

Most likely two separate disks (in separate boxes inside) like the Resistance Dual Pack.

Haha...you have to be THE laziest person EVER when it comes to changing discs. I totally imagine you glued to the couch, with a modded 200-disc changer on your 5TB PS3, saying pervy things.

Just saying, I think it would be a cool thing. And YES I don't like switching discs in and out, causing wear on the drive. It's MUCH more efficient to have all your games digitally.

Also, judging from that artwork, doesn't that hint that the games could possibly be both on a single disc, ala the God of War Collection?

I can't imagine they're going to have a custom artwork cover like that in a bundled package of the two other games with their own artwork.

The term "dual pack" infers a bundled two pack deal, but as I said that artwork looks like one that would be with a single disc bluray collection.

I was excited because I was going to get the Ratchet & Clank collection as well. :-(

They're not gonna be on a single disc. Uncharted 2 almost fills an entire disc by itself (before it was released, Naughty Dog people were talking about how they had to leave stuff out because the game got too big).

That is, unless they make it a dual-layer disc but I don't see that happening.

Sounds like the UDF+U2AT Dual Pack will be about the same price as the U2AT GOTY Edition. The Dual Pack pics don't say anything about GOTY Edition DLC. *If* they are the same price and *if* the Dual Pack doesn't include DLC, I'd say the best value to anyone new to Uncharted is to get the U2AT GOTY Edition and get UDF seperately. Guess we'll have to wait and see about pricing though.

I guess the Dual Pack might be good for those weirdos who hate online features.

Ooooh...I'm so blind! GOTY Edition would definitely have the DLC. AMAZING deal then, everyone buy it ASAP!
