Default how to replace a bulb toshiab y67

hi

we recently had to purchase another bulb for a toshiba 65 inch dlp tv. received the bulb, slide it in and pop on the back cover. still no picture and on the front of the tv it showing that the bulb light is still flashing, tv will come on and you will a little static and then it turns off, tries to come back on and then turns backoff again... any ideas would be greatly appreciated. we had the warranty people come out and take a look at it, they told us that it needed a new bulb. tv is only 1 year old.. thanks

i looked into buying one of these sets myself (had a killer deal on a used one), and i seem to remember coming across something regarding the bulbs, and being faulty or something, during my research, didn't seem like a big deal, but something that can short them out, maybe that happened when you put the new bulb in, just a bad guess though probably.
