Default James Bond Author set for Biopic

From The Hollywood Reporter...

Quote:
The writer who took on Daniel Pearl will tackle the creator of 007.

John Orloff, who penned Par Vantage's "A Mighty Heart," about the slain Wall Street Journal reporter, has been brought on to pen the screenplay for "Fleming," a biopic about Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond.

Leonardo DiCaprio shingle Appian Way is producing at Warner Bros., which will look at critical moments in the life of the colorful author and journalist. Andrew Lazar/Mad Chance also are producing.

The son of a Parliament member, Fleming served as an intelligence officer in the British Navy and later created the Bond character.

The author penned the first Bond book, "Casino Royale," in 1953 and went on to write a total of 14 Bond novels featuring the debonair spy. Among them were "Live and Let Die," "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Goldfinger." Fleming also wrote the children's book "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." He died in 1964.

The CAA-repped Orloff is attached to write laid-off businessman tale "How Starbucks Saved My Life" for Playtone and animal adventure "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" for Warners.

Since nobody saw the first biopic about Fleming, Spymaker. Maybe they'll get somebody better to play him this time, rather than Sean Connery's kid.

hey guys, have you ever seen the movie goldeneye (the secret life of ian fleming-the real james bond) with actor charles dance and phillys logan ?

the movie is a little boring but it does show us is life as a playboy, a wanna-be spy in the british military, his romance with ann rothermere the woman who would become his wife and his friendship with noel coward in london and in jamaica.

like i said the movie is a little boring but what is fun is that the movie was film in part in jamaica at the real goldeneye (the jamaican retreat where ian fleming use to live and where he wrote all his book about james bond) so you get to see a great deal of the house which is a treat for any fan of fleming and bond.
right now i own only the vhs copy of this movie so if anybody know where i could find a dvd copy i would be very grateful.
