Looking forward to this one.

Rutina/Tara was treated like shit on True Blood, glad she's involved with this show.

She was great on Hannibal.

Oprah's other drama Greenleaf is quite good.

I agree with everything you said in your post. I also thanked your post about Underground being snubbed by the Emmys.

Who are you? And, why haven't I ever seen you around here before?

I post here occasionally.

Was pleasantly surprised to see a Queen Sugar thread.

Well, I'm pretty sure we will be the only two posting in this thread. A handful of others may join in once the show starts.

I'm a big fan of Rutina Wesley and this show looks really good. Hopefully they make more use of her talent than True Blood did.

Like how this show is heavily promoted, during episodes of Greenleaf.

Just like that one, Queen Sugar got an early S2 renewal.

I watched the 2-night series premiere last night, and the show is fantastic! As was to be expected from a visionary such as Ava DuVernay. This fall is really shaping up to be a historic occasion for Black television and film. So excited for the lineup that's coming this season!

This last episode was the best yet! Truly terrific television!

It's a shame that more people are not watching this fantastic series.
