I would go with the X-Men Trilogy out of the two.

You'll probably enjoy X-men more, but hey who doesn't like Vampires and Werewolves? Both trilogy's offer great PQ/AQ. I say buy both, i'm going to to.

IMO, X-Men, but also I don't think you should blind buy, I mean, you run the serious risk of not liking any of those movies. Then what? Blame us? J/k, just rent them though.

whichever one you feel you'd get the most enjoyment out of

i dont understand threads where 2 titles or more are simply presented and members are asked to choose. everyone will have different tastes or reasons for buying one set over the other...imo it really comes down to what interests you more, how much $$ you are willing to spend, whether or not you like special features, and how much the PQ/AQ affects your decision. you're the one spending the money on your collection, so you should make the decision on what to spend it on, not us

but since i am participating in the thread, and if i personally had to choose, i would go with X-men because the underworld series was never appealing to me. watched the first one and it did little for me.

X-Men for sure. Underworld went downhill with the second and third movie.

Well said, but then again I'm shocked that both these trilogies would be blind buys for anyone, let alone just one. I mean, I thought every one has seen at least one movie out of each of these sets. If it were up to me and I was deciding I'd go with X-MEN.

UNDERWORLD is a much better "trilogy" than x-men. the stories of each of the three movies are entwined and you begin to understand some fundamentals as you move from one movie to the next. This franchise did a good job of building a history behind it's plot and each movie unravels certain aspects of it.

the x-men movies are good too, but you don't get much out of them other than the typical hack and slash action with powers and what not. each movie can exist without the other (not exactly a compliment) like episodes of the typical comedy sitcom or you can think of each movie as each individual installment into the James Bond 007 franchise (not including Casino Royale and Quantam of Solace).

if you watch TV series' you can think of UNDERWORLD as an ongoing story such as LOST and think of X-MEN as 3 episodes of HOUSE (same characters, new story and dilemma each time). Im fans of both btw =P

I'd probably go with X-Men as the blind-buy option. Like Underworld too, but I read a few user reviews at amazon which are claiming that only the rated versions of the films are showing up in that box, not the unrated versions. (Dunno if reality-based or not, but why risk it.)

Hard to beat Kate in tight leather... but it's probably a less safe blind buy, given the above. (And possibly a little bit more of an acquired taste.) Haven't seen Lycans yet myself either.
