Robert Downey Jr. Talks Iron Man 2. Says Rourke Is NOT Playing Crimson Dynamo.

MTV spoke with Robert Downey Jr about Iron Man 2 and Mickey Rourke's involvement. Would he be playing Crimson Dynamo?

“That’s actually incorrect,” Downey told MTV News when asked if Rourke was being considered for the aforementioned Iron Man rogue. When pressed if, instead of Crimson Dynamo, Rourke was up for the role of Whiplash, another potential role bandied about on blogs these days, Downey had a more cryptic response.

Ok, so then he must be playing Whiplash, right?

“I can neither confirm nor deny that,” said Downey. “Or maybe it’s some semblance of both. Here, I can tell you everything about the story except I won’t give away the ending. The nerd stuff is top-drawer security.”


Here's something MTV fails to mention, that I noticed in the video interview; Robert says the enemy comes from within, which tells me that they may be exploring the Demon in a Bottle alcohol storyline. I mean, the world now knows Tony is a superhero, and perhaps the pressure is getting to him?

Besides the alcohol thing, I'm also thinking the whole Whiplash thing is kind of a bad idea. Think about it, the dude has a whip and Iron Man can take out a tank. Iron Man wins.
