Default Price tags or stickers on cases/slips

I was wondering if any of the price tags some stores put on the slips or the actual cases, bring the value of the slip or movie down? If so what is the best place to get them where they don't tag them like that?

The only way I know to get movies without pricetags is online. Other wise, just slowly peel them off. If residues remains, use some tape and pull it off little by little.

Yeah, you have to buy them online. Best Buy always has the most annoying stickers on their slipcovers. Getting the movie on the first day, you have a better chance of getting the stickers off with no problems. If you do have residue, I spray a little goo gone on it, and it comes right off with no damage.

I usually never have any residue problems.

F*** price stickers. That's I try and buy everything I want from Amazon.

EDIT - Actually I don't care if the price tags are on cases, but I hate them on slipcovers. But yes as 28bluslater said, Goo Gone is the one of the best methods to get rid of residue.

Even when there are price tags, usually if you just peel them back slowly and carefully, you can get it without residue. However, if residue remains, use Goo-Gone (it's what I have used on my slips that had residue) and it makes it feel smooth as can be.

I just keep stickers on my slips because it is a reminder that I actually bought a BD at a Big Box store.

I've never seen Target put stickers on their slips.

just pull the tag off and if some remains take a wet paper towel and get the rest off. Did it with Rango, the first slipcover I've even kept.

this needs to be moved to the slipcover thread.

I got a few stickers on the slipcover for "Cars", but they came off with very few problems. Being careful when removing them is the key; the patience is definitely worth it.

Nah, they just put them in plastic cases that ruin the slipcovers a lot of the time....at least at my nearest Target....

Lighter fluid. Works wonders.

Every BD I've ever bought, slipcase or not, has been shrinkwrapped with any stickers on the shrinkwrap. So it's never been a problem. But most do have security tags within and I do peel those off once I know the BD is not defective in any way. Sometimes it is hard to get them completely off.

My blus are all from online retailers, so no such problem. But I will just have to be extra careful when peeling off price stickers if necessary.

In extreme cases, a judicious application of WD40 works wonders.
