Panasonic DMPBD35 status - Blu-ray Forum

I was looking for one for a friend and the place i buy my product (I work part time as a system designer) from just said it was discontinued, anyone else hear this, or know what the replacement is or when it should be available?

I believe it was going to be discontinued, but i'd be surprised if you Can't find some on Ebay still.

Check your local costco warehouse. Ours had atleast 30+ avail for sale last week.

Yes it is discontinued. New players were announced at CES, to be released soon.

+1, my costco had a pallet full about 2 weeks ago, $279, and there was a $50 off coupon.

Panasonic assumed that the economy was so weak that their surplus made would last until April when the BD 60 would be sold. Their problem was that with their great reviews there was strong demand and the economy while weak gets more people to stay home for entertainment and a Blu ray machine and movie are a faily affordable way to relax and escape the stress we all face.

Problem is both the BD 35 and BD55 are in such hot demand they are sold out with no new ones from Panny as Panny tried to build the new BD 60 to replace the BD35 and the BD 80 to replace the BD55. I'm going to wait for the BD80 myself.
