Just bought PS3 logitech Keyboard

Hey I just bought the PS3 logitech bluetooth keyboard from amazon for a decent price (got tired of getting outbid on ebay for the logitech dinovo edge). I also had to buy a bluetooth usb dongle for my HTPC. I was wondering if anyone else is using this keyboard and if they had any trouble setting it up with there HTPC. I read some mixed reviews on compatibility with Vista which I have. Anybody got any info?

This thread may need to go to the PS3 section, most (not all) HTPC people leave the PS3 out of their rigs You would probrably receive a faster answer if you post it there. Would you like me to move this thread?

I hope it works. I believe this is supposed to be the OFFICIAL keyboard for PS3, but it is not from Sony. I read that it doesn't have a PS button not these: .

WHY are those buttons missing from this OFFICIAL PS3 keyboard?

I also hope it doesn't need a dingle because I didn't order one.

Anyone have this keyboard? I only want it so I can surf the web and watch YouTub videos on the 52-inch Sharp Aquos.

This isn't official, there isn't an official full-size PS3 keyboard. Just the controller clip-on one:

Regular keys (Esc, Return, arrows, F1 etc) can be used to navigate the XMB and no game is designed to be controlled by a keyboard with shape buttons so they're not necessary.

Most bluetooth keyboards connect to the PS3 via the built-in bluetooth module and bluetooth setup. No USB dongle needed but those work too.

Mine works with vista.

Just search new devices, but make sure you have reset the keyboard underneath about 3 seconds before the search. There is a button underneath the keyboard which resets it.

Once its connected, you will likely just see a number on the screen. type that in the keyboard and it will connect.

You only need a bluetooth dongle if you HTPC doesn't have built in bluetooth. Your PS3 doesn't need it because it also has built in bluetooth. I just ordered the keyboard for use with my computer only.
