What's wrong with my Eee's screen?

I left it on overnight torrenting and when I got on it this morning the screen was messed up. What's wrong?! Ughh...rage

Do you fold it down when you leave it on? I left my Acer on for 3 days torrenting and as long as I set the monitor to turn off or folded it I never had any issues.

It was folded down, but the screen was off.

That's weird then, try leaving it off for a day then see if it goes away. if not, time to call customer service.

My warranty expired two days ago.

You didn't get one of those extended warranties? If there is a problem it will probably cost more than the netbook is worth to fix. Where did you get it from?

I got it from Amazon on Jan 5th, it only has a 30 day warranty. I never get extended warranties.

That's horrible there's no 1 year manufacturers warranty. Try calling them anyway and see what customer service says. I'm sure if you complain enough tot he right people someone will do something about it.

Looks like it should have a 1 year manufacturer, 6 month battery, and 1 year ZBD? (Zero Bright Dot?) Guarantee.

Try calling Asus and explaining the problem and see if that is covered by the 1 year manufacturers warranty.

if it only expired a few days ago i would definitely try haranging them into helping you out. i had a dell laptop whose hard drive died 4 days out of the 1 year warranty and after speaking to a supervisor was able to convince them into shipping me a free replacement. it may just depend on who you speak to, but definitely don't give up. you may also want to try explaining the situation to amazon and see if they will help good luck, hope everything gets taken care of for you!
