Default break in continuous hours

I know the norm is 100-200 hours. My question is, will it be detrimental to the tv if I run for say 24 hours straight? 48 hours straight? 100 hours straight? If I shouldn't, how long of a break is suggested in between? I want 100 hours on this so I can have it calibrated pre-superbowl. Already have about 40 hours on it.

You can leave it on for 24 hours straight. It's hard to think to leave your TV on while you're gone.. Crackinheadz suggested the obvious: fire probability.. but that goes for anything you leave on while you're not home.

Your TV will be able to run 24 hrs straight no problem. 48? I think that MAY be pushing it... Just be careful what you leave on. No static images/black bars.

If you're using the break-in DVD you can run it for the full 100 hours no problem.

I can't figure out how to get the break in DVD to burn as a DVD. the .nrg file won't work because I don't have nero. I did download a different file and put the file straight to my PS3's harddrive. When I start it, it plays colors really fast, like 3 different colors a second. It only does for about 15 second this then it goes to a white/gray screen which stays this way. I let it sit on the white screen for about 3-4 minutes and it never changed.

And why does it matter if its the break in dvd? I have had a divx file stretched WAY out on loop. No black bars or static images. Why couldn't I use this 100 hours straight?

if u have an SD card just use that, saves wear and tear on ur dvd player.

Personally i didnt leave mine on for 40 straight hours.
I left it on for 9 straight then gave it a 15 min break.

so far im at 40 hours already and i have had it since wednesday night.

I only did the break in dvd for about 20 hours...then just gave up and started watching eveything.

I don't think you'll have much problem as long as you're responsible. Keep static images to a minimum, adjust your picture settings to an appropriate level, and turn the pixel orbiter to "Force 1"

Two questions, what does the pixel orbiter do? Is it something you can see or something that happens in the system?

Secondly, every channel except maybe two or three has a permanent static image. The stations logo...NBC, FOX, Animal Planet, MTV, HGTV, whatever it is they all have their own little image. How do u possibly avoid them?

orbiter rotates each individual pixel so that technically there are no static images on the screen. in regards to the logos during break in just zoom in. after break in don't even give it a 2nd thought! i was paranoid when i first got mine but it is totally fine, i mean really you only go 15 mins or so until there is a commercial then the logo is removed for a while

YOu cant even notice pixel orbiter so I recommend setting that to Force 1. And about those logos... Ya nothing u can do except change the channel lol My set is at about 500 hour and I did break it in for 100 hours and even now If I watch espn for lets say 3 hours I will get some Image retention. This retention however is not noticeable under regular viewing conditions. The only way I see it is by putting a static white image and looking for it lol. But after an hour or so of regular fullscreen viewing it just disappears.

I gave up too. I can't do it anymore. I had about 30 hours break in.

I wish I had the time.. I really did. I work and go to school so I only have maybe 1.5-2hrs a day MAX to relax and do anything (which includes dinner and shower, etc.) It would take too long for me to break it in and I'm not comfortable leaving it on when I'm not at the house... I guess I'll just put my good faith in Panny.

So what the hell do you watch for those 8 months? Or do you keep your "old" TV around for those 6000 hrs?
