yeah...those are Federal Hydra Shocks hollowpoints in .45 ACP of course

So far, this is the only gun I have... but I am starting to get back into range shooting so I might get me a gun that shoots cheaper ammo, like 9mm.

But I do feel sad for whoever tries to break into my brother's house... he has a tactical shotgun, a customized AR-15, a sniper rifle, 3 1911s and a glock.

i'm not gonna pretend to know what he has, but my brother in law, from what i've seen, has 2 Desert Eagle .45's, a mini eagle (don't remember the caliber), a 3rd eagle for his wife, and about 10-15 more cases sitting on his cabinets in their basement that i didn't get to see.

he also has several rifles and 1 or 2 guns he broke down and sent home from Iraq when he was over there on active duty.

That's crazy... I thought my brother was crazy. He probably has more invested in his gun collection than I do in my home theater... and he's b!tching that he cant afford one? nuts...

Yeah. I don't actually own one, but would like to, if I bought a gun.

I've seen some videos on YouTube, of people firing it, and knocking most back a few feet, except the ones who fire regularly. I also read with the highest grain .50 bullet, has almost the same amount of energy as a 12 gauge shotgun.

The smallest gun frame with the 4" barrel weights 4lbs. So I doubt you'd be carrying this bad boy on you.

I do have a couple of pistols in my nightstand..... but I never take them out and drool over them or anything.

haha... yeah, my shar-pei is still my first alert. He barks at anything that makes sounds during the night... which unfortunately leads to a lot of false alarms. But it's still easy enough to do a short sweep of the house with the gun and flashlight that i never ignore the pei alert.

I do have a sportbike in the garage as well so i'm really, really paranoid when the dog barks.

I bought it back in 2001 for ~$1600. I think new is about $2K now. It's a fully custom gun, everything is hand fitted. Never had any problems with it either.

and thanks everyone!

I have, from my historical memorabilia collections, a Luger P08 pistol from the second world war - doesn't work, however.

But for HT protection, I do have a pair of genetically trained and modified velociraptors.
