Help me with Receiver purchase

Ok im new to surround sound

I dont want to buy a set up thats all bundled together i think buying seperate is a good idea.

I went thinking the best choice was a onkyo...i was thinking about getting the 606 which is kinda out of my price range but i dont really know what to go for and dont want to get something that im not going to be happy with due to not spending a little more.

well the onkyo 606 was sold out. They had a yamaha Yamaha RX-V463BL
but i dunno

I dont want to just buy anything..or something too cheap and have it forever because my tv is really nice..spent 3000 for it and the stand was 3 or 4 hundred also.

ps3 mgs4 bundle was 500

so i wanna get something good...thats easy to set up with the ps3, i also have a comcast digital hd/dvr set up.


well any help is appreciated.....Im also looking for speakers...polk audio was what i was looking at..

my budget is around 6 or 7 hundred for everything give or take.

Or i can just buy little by little...But nothing too crazy money wise.
