I meant to post this a while ago, I was just curious how you supported Blu-ray during the holidays. I received several new movies as gifts, but more importantly I bought a player for my dad (with help from other family members).
So what did you do?

I bought two new players, and about 20 movies. Gave a player to my parents, their first.

i know its still early in this poll, but so far its looks like when it comes to blu ray, it was better to receive than give this past christmas!

personally, i received and gave, introducing my sister and brother in law to blu ray, they got their first player from my parents (PS3), and i gave them a couple blu rays to get them started

Bought a blu-ray for my brother , received a bunch of them and I gradually introduce blu-ray to my friends. I was responsible for 6 ps3 purchases in the last 4 months of 2008 made by my friends. I need a paycheck from sony, lol

I use the hot deals forums for my friends now so they can build their collection.

My wife and I had Christmas for both of our families at our house, so I put on a "What the heck is Blu-ray" clinic for about 25 people. The opening of Top Gun and episode two of Band of Brothers were the big hits.

Also, I bought Band of Brothers for me from the wife as my present, and accidentally ordered two copies of TDK from Amazon so my nephew got my extra copy.

Helped a friend get a drive installed and running on his main PC.
Sent him a few BDs to get him started

I like my Blurays and I am very selective hence I do not have millions of Blurays in my collection.
I did not do much this past holiday Bluraywise so I suppose I am a disgrace.

I checked received and gave BDs, but I guess I should have also clicked something else, since my Dad asked me what he should get for the 3 older nephews and I go movies and we went out and got BDs for them
