Ok, people... Which one(s) will you be buying, and why? Which one will have the better replay value and be the most challenging/rewarding to beat?

It'd be hard to say, GoW III won't be released for another 7 to 12 months easily I think, wherehas RE5 will be released in March...

Why compare two games being released so far appart?

Maybe you might wonder between RE5 and Far Cry 2, or RE5 and Bioshock or even Silent Hill?

I didnt like the RE5 demo much.. The controls seemed way too stiff for my taste..

GOW III probably wont be out until the end of the year but yeah I will get it..

This is kind of a weird question.. if the games were being released around the same time it would make more sense to me...

They haven't even released all of the details for GoW 3 so there is no way to even compare.

huge gap in between release, if u cant save roughly 50 cents per day in between the release of RE5 and GOW3 then idk what to suggest

FYI 50 cents per day is 15 bux i month =P theres def a 4 month gap haha

sorry im an engineer and look at everything from a mathmatical stand point

I'm with you. 2 different genres, released date very appart, and not enough info about GoWIII. But from RE5 demo I would go with dead space

i will be purchasing gow iii but most likely not re5. re5 looks great graphically but the controls feel dated to me now

First, I will be getting both at some point (maybe right when they come out, depending on how my economic state is). Second, I think that RE5 will have more replayability because of co-op. And finally, I think beating GoW3 will be the most satisfying because it's the final game of the trilogy and should go out with a bang. Both are going to be good, I think.

agreed that this is kind of a strange comparison, but if i had to pick only one based on what i know now, i would definitely go with god of war 3, i was never too big a fan of the resident evil series

I really didn't like the RE5 demo.... Looked great but the controls feel old and clunky. Not a fan of the real time inventory system either. I want to like RE5 but...ugh

Even without playing or seeing much of it, I'd take GOW III over RE 5. But they are different genres so that's not really a fair comparison.

How can you even compare?

GOW is an action game while RE5 is survival horror. I guess if you asking to go with action or survival horror, then the choice is whether or not you like games that scare the pants off of you, or games that frustrate the hell out of you.

Me, I'll be getting both.
