Angry cables a nightmare

recently upgraded my home vid and aud set up
had a lot of problems with cables
imagine sony not giving any hdmi cables
for their top end 46X full HD tv
was happy with the bose lifestyle 48 though
they gave most of what one would need but
they left the optical connections out, tried out their site to order no luck, talked to their service engg. he said he would call back...but no call
sony have not even responded to e-mail query
and no where in sony india they had what i needed,
after sales support is really bad here in india
we are still watching dvd quality on hddvd & blu ray players and displays.
hope they catch up real soon, the companies..;-)

Nowadays most manufacturers don't supply cables unfortunately. Having said that many consumers want to choose their own cables so the manufacturers save the money.

Can yield odd situations though. My Mother bought a Dell computer a while back and it came with a free colour printer. Everything came in the same box, but they still didn't include a USB cable to hook the printer up.

Weird old world.

In honesty, I copied and pasted it into textedit and left justified it.

Welcome FluxMan,
Good to see that there is at least one Blu-ray fan in India.
As other posters, please try not to center justify your text - makes it hard to read.

Cables - no manufacturer includes them. There are many reasons - but basically you have to consider that you can interconnect newer CE devices in a myriad of ways. For the manufacturer to include cables for all possible interconnection combinations would be quite expensive.

Rup.

I've got an iMac Intel dualcore. Grand little thing it is. Actually it's so quick at doing some stuff that sometimes I sit here wondering when it will start a task only to realise that it's done.

How about you?
