Default Anyone else have a terrible experience with Tower.com ?

I pre-ordered King Kong and The Notebook on Jan 11th and was hoping they would be here on their release date, Jan 20th. It's now Feb 2nd and neither of them are here. I got an email on the 12th saying that King Kong was shipped. And I just checked the status of the Notebook and it's listed as "still being processed". WTF? I sent them an email today but I haven't heard back from them yet.

Has this happened with anyone else?

Did you use free shipping? Sometimes it takes 3-4 weeks if you do.

I used the standard shipping, only cost a few bucks. But it said 8-12 business days. It was shipped on the 12th, so even 12 business days would have been last Tuesday. And the other one hasn't even shipped! I'm not too happy with them at the moment

The few times I've ordered from them, it's taken a bit long on the shipping, but nothing too extreme. I've been pretty well satisfied ordering from them and will continue to do so.

One item can often hold up an order for weeks. Tower's shipping notices mean absolutely nothing. They hold your entire order until every item is in stock and ready to ship.

Don't let Tower.com's $1-less-than-Amazon marketing sham get you!

Because they consider Alaska to be international, they won't ship to me unless I pay them $8. And considering how long it takes.. no thanks.

Sometimes it takes 2 days to get blu's, sometimes it takes almost 4 weeks. I'm not quite sure what the deal is.

A little update: after 3 weeks, The Notebook was still listed as "still being processed, will ship soon" so I cancelled it. I bought it from someone on Amazon Sunday and it got here on wednesday, yay. As for King Kong, it's still not here. I placed the order a month ago today! They told me that in order for them to be able to declare it lost, I needed to wait until the 12th, 21 business days after it was shipped, and then they would assist me further.

Well I emailed them today, how do you think think they handle this? I don't know much about these types of situations, it's never happened to me. It would be sweet if they would over-night me another one
