Well, I haven't really been counting the hours but I am definitely beyond the 100 hour mark right now. I do think I could have turned down the settings a little during the break in. Brightness was 48, contrast 85, cell light 6. but too late obviously.
I do get very frequent image retention which in some cases happens very quickly but it always goes away as fast as it came so I'm kinda getting use to that. I'm very careful of seeing an image right before watching a blu-ray with bars on top/bottom. I'll usually run the white screen for a minute to clear it before movie. Anyway, now that I'm past the 100 hours, what does this mean? Is it safe to turn up the settings a little..increasing a little at a time? Or because I get frequent retentino, should I actually turn them down? Black Bars, static images, I think I can worry less about? i'm holding out for Calibration for my basement to get finished since lighting will change drastically down there. Thoughts on this theory of mine? Should I wait or if I do it now does lighting even matter? |
