Default The Re-Animator (1984): Friend or Foe?

The Re-Animator (1984). Classic, Bomb, or B-Movie on Steroids?? You tell me? Lasting goodness or fleeting fad? I just don't know. What do you think?

I would vote for "classic B-movie"

and yes, the music ripped off Bernard Herrman!

It's a classic. But I'm biased, as I'm a fan of HP Lovecraft. I feel that it's the best of the Lovecraft inspired movies. Lovecraft stories don't really translate well to movies but Stuart Gordon doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

Absolute classic. The scene with Megan on the table and Dr. Hill, head in hand umm...

That alone guarantees it's status as a classic.
