Default About to do a install in a all concrete room!!! HELPPPPPP

so this lady wants a home theater in her "circular" underground lair!!! All the walls are tiled.....its literally half of a cirle With a HUGE skylight that goes at least 15' to the surface & the curved wall is lined with glass & books. I will be doing 7.1 & want the best sound possible. Will it sound terrible in the concrete room??????????

Definitely gonna need some room treatments.

But I look at like this anymore, I"ll give advice as to what would make everything sound good/better, but ultimately the HO does what they want and I get paid.

if she doesn't turn the volume up much, it will probably be good for "her". if she starts cranking it up, watch out. but she may not even notice how crappy it sounds.

seems like it would eccho. Is she going to put anything in there to help with that? I'd mention it to her before she blames you.

You can build a HT inside of a metal box, concrete, glass, etc.... room treatments can correct any room..... the room is the "Uncarved block" you just have to work with it.

I like that, Beta. Work with what you have! Think outside the box....

. I guess if a tornado hits she won't have to leave the theater room. Heck if she has everything hooked up to a back up or something she wouldn't even have an interrupted viewing!
