I have Last Waltz too, I forgot. I love the departed, and the dvd I have is a Steel Book and is preety BA, so I am hesitant to replace, but I also know blu trumps all!

as you know its black/white. the detail was great, not much pixelation. has never looked better, and they did a great job IMO.

You've got nothing to worry about. Check out Greg Maltz's excellent review here.

To answer the title of your thread start in no uncertain terms: EVERY SINGLE THING HE'S EVER DONE!

Martin Scorcese is a brilliant director and maybe the most gifted director to grace the movie industry!

If we're expanding the thread to include unannounced Scorsese, my vote goes to The King of Comedy (1982).

It's a very underrated DeNiro/Scorsese collaboration, but one of my very favorites. It took forever to come out on DVD. I hope it gets an earlier shot this time around on Blu. I watch that movie three or four times a year, easy.

"Rupert Pupkin, P-U-P-K-I-N. It's often misspelled and mispronounced."

I'm not....I'm just expressing my opinion. You don't have to like or agree with it.
