I wouldn't bother with this release. The film was shot in a 1.66 aspect ratio, but for the BD (and in fact the later DVD edition), Paramount have artificially stretched the image horizontally to fit the 16:9 screen. So everyone looks fatter than they should and the moon and the golf ball appear oval-shaped instead of circular.

Apparently this has been raised with Paramount but they have cynically declined to acknowledge that there is a problem.

I never even noticed this.

I say if you like the movie its a great upgrade, was very impressed with how good the PQ was.
