Killzone 2 Boss Help (SPOILERS!)

im making a separate thread for this because its a spoiler and i dont want to get banned. i need help on the boss on the 5th level? the ATAC. i can get him in the electricity and then shoot him with the rocket but i always die before i kill him. so does anyone have any tips, i really am enjoying the story but i cant get pasted the frinken' boss.

You gotta just keep at it. You're doing the right thing. shoot the electricity rods and then hit him with the rocket. You just have to be good at playing cat and mouse around that center pillar until he's in range for the electrical shot...

did you discover the hallway? go down the stairs to your left and theres a walkway. get him that way. i had the same problem. good luck.

there's a hallway down there? never noticed! I just hid behind the main column till he was in range. did die a few times though!

It took only three rockets (on my second time ) .
First: u have to remember there are windows in the hallway . AVOID THEM .stay near the end and use L2.
Second: shoot only one rocket then run to the other end .And step out of the tunnel to lure him .
Third: every time u use the rocket launcher ,give it time to reload before switching to the gun.

I think i got a trophy for doing it in under 1.5 min

Off topic, I beat this game in 1 day... just like I beat MGS4 in 2 days. This game is incredible, it's so hard to put down.

Anyways I had a hard time with this boss too but wait till the final...

oh no you got me all scared and excited at the same time.
spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im at the next level after you get on the gun and shoot the enemy aircrafts and we escape from the crashing ship. so i think im almost done the game.
if you get a trophy for beatin this boss in a minute and half i might try to go back and do it.

Nvm I Did It!

There is a much easier way of doing this; I just finished this boss on Elite thanks to it. If you just shock him once and he's stunned, keep your reticle on the electric pod. Shoot it again when its recharged, before the ATAC moves again. If you can get the timing down, you can keep shooting, just reload every now and then while it's recharging. No rocket launcher or real effort required.

My advice on this battle if your going going to sit upstairs is to stand back from the column sitting face to the wall gives you tunnel vision and you wont see him move, so take a few good steps back and watch where he flys...

LOL I'm stuck in the same place. Died a lot already, so I'll have to try the hallway that somebody mentioned. This game is really cool, lol, I find myself stopping during the game to stare at the graphics and end up getting whacked.

im playing though the game on elite its pretty easy but until u reach the boss ''radec'' its hard as **** fighting of his support waves he keep sending out.
i got pass the first part now im going up stairs
thats were it gets harder for me
im staying towards the right the whole time trying to fight them off
rico can not cover the left side for shit

need some helpful tips on beating his soldiers when i get up stairs

Shin-Ra posted strategies for that level in another thread. I think the main thread. but you will have to look for it in one of the main killzone threads cant be too far back. I remember reading, and grenades are your friend.

i just beat it so easy use a ''knife'' no bullshit look on youtube

that is the only weapon i use, haha, just wait for them to reload, and run over and stab em before they know what hit them, thyen run for cover... rinse ... repeat

I always use the grenade launcher for this part....Ill take out the guys on bottom with a few hits, trick is to fire a ways in front and let the grenade roll to them, if u aim at them and miss, the grenade will explode 20 yrds. behind them....then before reinforments come in again ill run over and take out the rocket launcher on the left side real quick there less rockets to dodge and makes it a hell of alot easier....thats my strategy for the top part anyways....
