Default Displaying your collection and extra packaging.

Ok, I am just curious who here is like me and what other methods people use in regards to your Blu-ray collection as well as your DVD collection.

First off, displaying your collection, myself personally I keep my collection broken up into categories but on the same shelf. To be more specific, starting at the top of the shelf, I have all my of TV box sets including Blu-rays all alphabetically of course. Next on the list is all my Blu-ray movies in alphabetic order again followed by the lonely DVDs way down at the bottom, again in alphabetical order. Anyone else do it differently? I am very picky myself as to how all my electronics are displayed!

Secondly the extra packaging, ie. cardboard sleeves and what not. Personally I remove these if and only if it adds nothing to the packaging. By this I mean if it is the exact same as the Blu-ray case art than I ditch it but if it adds something different I will allow it to remain. Some exapmples of packaging I leave intact would be The Dark Knight, since upon removing the sleeve the case art has a different cover picture as well as the graffiti on the back. On the flip side there are movies like Pirates of the Caribbean or King Kong where upon removing the cardboard sleeve you are left with the EXACT same art as well as specs and descriptions and spine details. Those get tossed, (however not very far, I keep them deep in a closet somewhere). Point being if it adds nothing it doesn't get displayed!

Anyone care to comment?
