Default Buttkicker Amp Question

I have had my buttkicker kit for 1 week now. It is an awesome experience to feel what you see. However, when I first turn on my amp, the red light comes on, but then it rarely ever turns green. Usually I have to disconnect my audio cable in the back of the amp and push it back in, and sure enough I can "hear" the little hum that the amp is now "active" and the light will then be green. I know this isn't normal, so I think I have a bad amp? I had a 25' audio subwoofer cable made for me by my local audio/video specialty store. So, I figure maybe the cable is insufficient for the job. I ordered a new one from Monoprice (25' High Quality Coaxial Audio/Video CL2 rated cable, RG6/U, 75ohm) and that one too requires me to unplug it from the amp and plug it back in to get the green light. I have called Monoprice and we did do a few things to get it to work at the time thinking it was fixed, but sure enough the next day, it was doing it again (by the way, great customer service, I must say!) Question is, do I not have the correct audio cable or is it a defective amp?

Sounds like a defective amp especially if you have tried multiple cables with the same issue. Did you try the cable that came with the kit to see if it works ok? I assume you bought the "big" LFE kit with the 1000watt amp and not the wireless kit? I would contact Buttkicker, they should send you a new amp. When I got my Wireless Buttkicker the week before last, I had a defective Tranducer. I called them and they sent me out a whole new kit and I have been enjoying the Buttkicker ever since!
