Default Sharp Aquos 1080p, 120hz, Limited Edition...any opinions?

In addition, the SE94U models include a groundbreaking AQUOS Net Feature for custom Web content through an Ethernet jack, as well as 120Hz frame rate conversion for the ultimate in fast-motion image processing. All models are HDTVs with built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC tuners and include 3 HDMI inputs, compatible with “deep color" 1080p signals, and 2 HD 1080p component video inputs as well as RS-232C for control. The SE94U Series features a unique leather-based cabinet, with detachable, recessed bottom-mounted speakers and the included table stand easily removes for wall mounting applications. It also has a 4ms response time.

Has anyone seen one in person? I'm up in the air between this one and the Sammy lnt5271f and I was wondering if this was worth the extra 500 bucks.

hey simpspin you may want to look into the new samsung 650 series. Model number is ln52a650. It supposed to be like the 71 series but with a lot of the bugs fixed. Seems like a lot of 71 series owners were plagued with some bugs like TBE and stutter. So far the 6 series owner over at avs seem to be liking the TV a lot. I'll be ordering mines next week instead of getting the 71. Oh retail is like 3700 but at BB you can use the 10% off which makes it cheaper then the 71 at BB anyway.

I have a pair of 32" Sharp LCD TVs (lack of space precluded anything bigger), but I have a hard time recommending any LCD TV over a decent plasma. Given the relatively small cost differential, I can't think of an objective reason not to go with either a Panasonic or Pioneer plasma.

I saw the 65 inch sharp SE today at bestbuy, it was truly amazing. I wasn't there to see it though, I was looking at the pioneer kuro elite 60 inch. It is true about the buzz on the kuros, the blacks are second to none. Seemed a little redish and fuzzy to me although that might have a lot to do with the video BB was looping. They were showing a video that was a very black vid of a shania twain concert, or someone like her, anyways I wanted to see what it would look like with some brighter stuff. Which is why I'm currently liking the sharp aquos instead, almost sold on it, truly amazing picture, I'd say better than the Kuro, that is until I am able to go back to BB and hopefully catch them playing a brighter movie. then i might possibly give the kuro it's 1st place spot as CNET has as far as whats the best out there type scenerio. Price sucks on the aquos, 10,000 but online they're going for nearly the same price as the kuro elites, around 7,000.

All in all the video that was playing on the Sharp seemed sharper, truer color and I did notice the blacks weren't completley black but were only a very close second to that of the Kuro.

I didn't check out the samsungs, sorry.

I would go check out the Kuro at a smaller dealer that knows how to set it up and will give it a decent signal. Then you'll get the true experience.

For some reason I am not taking this guy all too serious. Yes, the Sharp is a very good TV, but all videophiles across the country aren't idiots. They know what they are talking about. To me, the Sharp has a washed out picture when comparing it to any good Plasma. I would love to see a Pioneer in my house. Sadly, now that they are not going to be in production anymore, that isn't going to happen.
