Default Which one?

I'm thinking of getting a Monster Power Powercenter for my home theater system but not sure which one. What do you all think of these two? Thanks in advance!

They're both solid units, but I would go with the 2500. The 2500 has 11 outlets as opposed to 8 on the 1800. Also it has a USB charging slot and an outlet on the front panel.

I bought the Monster HDP-2400 last Xmas and I also have a mid-level Belkin Pure AV strip. The power in my building is steady, so I may not even have had a need for this additional purchase(HDP-2400) and am not convinced that it's even a better unit than the Belkin. I do like the fact that the HDP-2400 is a componant unit (which looks rather nice in a setup) and also because it displays the siganal variation coming into my apartment at any given moment. It normally varies between 119-122 and every once in a while might extend beyond that range.

I would say this though..DO NOT EXPECT an IMPROVEMENT in A/V quality with these units. It should be bought for peace of mind and security in your investment. I read a review on amazon whereby a guy was really peeved he couldn't notice such a difference and panned the unit all to hell. This person was obviously totally out to lunch in his expectations.

If still available, check out the link that sOnIc provided earlier.

John
