There isn't a single Gene Wilder film or book that I haven't enjoyed. His pairings with Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor are timeless, but my favorite has been and will always be Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. I've been a fan since I first saw it as a child and it's became a comfort movie for me. When the world seemed to be beating me down, Wonka's insanity made me smile. It's solidly remained my favorite movie of all time for almost three decades given my attachment to it. When I got the opportunity to see it on the big screen I broke down in tears. Gene was something special to a lot of people like myself and because of that impact he'll always be in our collective memories.

I've only seen two - Willy Wonka and See No Evil, Hear No Evil. The first is a classic, and while I didn't care for the latter film's crass moments, I still enjoyed Gene's character. "Are you serious?...Fuzzy Wuzzy was a woman?"

I've mentioned this in several threads, I will again, I think he deserved the oscar for his performance in The Frisco Kid. He was outstanding.

The thirty second double take in Everything You Always... on its own is worthy of the highest accolade it is possible to give.

Young Frankenstein is my favourite Gene Wilder movie, he was just perfect for that role. A comedy genius that will be sadly missed.

Willy Wonka for sure. I grew up with that movie, and it's a very special movie because you learn more and more each time you watch it. As someone who's never read the book. I find the movie fascinating, as that would you hope a chocolate factory would be like. But thanks to Unwrapped on the Food Network, I've learned that's not the case.

Willy Wonka by far. I was a kid when I first saw it and to this day I feel like one when watching it. Gene Wilder is beautiful in this movie.
