Default Lethal Weapon crappy discs

Thanks for the reviews! I'd heard rumors and the prices have always been low so I've held off. never seen the films (I'm 21 ok? I'm catching up). But I'm going to skip Blu-ray if they're that lousy and go grab the 4 pack collection at Target. It's ten bucks! 2.50 a flick, all anamorphic & 5.1. Can't beat that!

But,... the Blu Ray versions are cheap and much better.

I would rather rent these on Blu than own them on DVD.

(I sold my Lethal Weapon DVD's long ago but only picked up the first movie on Blu .... not as interested in the sequels anymore but will get part 2 eventually.)

Can you please explain why you call the Blu's discs crappy ? Bad sound ? Bad picture ? Something else ?

Yeah the PQ and AQ rank about a 2.5 each on the reviews on the home page. For me, it needs to be higher than that to justify a purchase or I could just as easily wait for it to air on Universal HD or something.

I agree, For me the PQ/AQ needs to be a 4.0 or better to be a purchase. There have been a few 3.5 I have gotten but very few.

It's definitely an upgrade compared to the DVD's (pretty much every Blu-ray is) but yeah WB could have done better and will eventually. They only released the first 2 so I expect within the next few years there will be a boxset release with all new transfers and TrueHD audio with all 4 movies.

If you've never seen the films, get the 10 buck pack. The films are not very good and certainly overrated, especially the sequels, imo. I think peeps are more nostalgic when they speak of these films as I can't possibly see the appeal of them these days.

As long as you realize that while they may be low quality for Blu Ray they are still much better looking/sounding than the DVDs.

I had the DVD's of the LW series and the LW Blu ray offers much more detail.

The Lethal Weapon series is easily in the top ten for best buddy cop movies of all time and one of if the not the most successful in that category. They were even recently considering doing a Lethal Weapon 5 but I think Mel said no.

Blasephemy!!! I love the lethal weapons. I see them at least twice each a year for the last 10 years . Great great, very UNDER Rated sequels.

I enjoyed the first 2 in the 1980's. Barely tolerated Part 3 in 1992 and I'm not sure I saw part 4, but probably did and it probably reminded me of parts 1-3.

I revisited the first one a year or two ago and couldn't get through it. Amazing how tastes change after decades of time.

Oh and I'm not a big fan of cops in general. lol.

Well then your obviously not gonna get into them because thats what the movies are all about haha

and yeah part 4 was the weakest of the series and got a little too jokey for my tastes but with the same cast and crew it was still a good Lethal Weapon movie and it gave the series a nice strong finish which not alot of sequels have pulled off.
