Default Identifying Imaging, Presence, Depth, Soundstage and the like!

This is going to sound like a real noob question coming from someone who has been into Audio for nearly 40 years, but I have real difficulty sometimes identifying certain things that I am hearing or NOT hearing.

The terminology in identifying characteristics of components, mainly sources (TT's/CDP's) and speakers are greatly intertwined. I think I can properly identify them, but I'm not really sure and want to be.

So here is my question.

Can anyone direct me to an article that discusses and/or identifies the various listening characteristics of imaging, presence, depth, soundstage, neutral, warmth, airy, etc, etc, etc.....

I'd be willing to post a thread outlining those specifics as I think it would be a handy tool for others as well.

John
