Pirates 3 trailer on PSN - Blu-ray Forum

I searched and didn't find another thread so I hope this isn't a duplicate announcement. I just watched this on my new 1080P projector last night and it looked stellar. I'm assuming the trailers off the PSN are compressed more than what we'll find on a BR disc so I have very high hopes for this one as well as the first 2.

Anyone else get a chance to watch it yet? I don't have a screen yet so I was watching it on a wall at 129" and it still looked absolutely great in a lot of scenes. It was late and I was tired so my judgment may have been a little off but from what I remember, it was what I would consider a Tier 0 encode. If this were Warner, I'd expect the trailer to possibly look better than the release but since this is Disney, I'm hoping the disc will be even better.

Cool. I tried to watch it again to see if it looked as good as I remember but the trailer wouldn't play. I'm sure I just need to update my Quicktime but I don't use it enought to worry with it.

Yahoo trailers are funny to download. Sometimes the download doesn't start, instead it gives you a little file (can't remember the ending) and you have to double-click it to start the d/l.

To be honest. This is not only the BEST trailer I've seen on the PS3 yet, but it is also one of the best examples of HD I've seen. If the Bluray of this movie looks as good as the HD Trailer does, this will be the BEST looking Bluray yet.

The trailer's PQ blew me away.

Glad to hear it just wasn't me. The wife was wanting to get to bed so I didn't get a chance for a 2nd look but my first impression was that it looked outstanding.

Yea that happenned the first time and I clicked the file but it still didn't play. It said it didn't have the necessary softare and it wasn't available from the QT server. Oh well, at least I've got the PS3

Yes, you probably need QT 7.1.5

I was watching it on the Mac though, so I don't know how you would do this on the PS3.
