This was a bit of a challenge setting this up, the wife would not allow me to use speakers that would "stick out and be an eye sore" so my best option was to go with the Bose 191 in wall speakers. I know a lot of people think that Bose sucks, I know they don't produce anything to speak of for bass but that is why will all have a sub is it not. The speakers sound great especially after using the calibration tool on the Sony STR-6400es, I think if you were able to hear them you would agree.
TV is mounted slightly high above the fire place but it is really ideal when I am leaning back in the recliner. All the components are located in a closet on the right side of the TV and the wires are run through the empty space where the fire place (electric) was installed. Niles 7.1 speaker wall plate installed in the closet for speaker connections, wires are run up through the attic to the respective speakers (only have 6.1 channel now, but since there is only a handful of movies out there that actually use 7.1 I don't think I am missing much right now). HDMI (v1.3) wall plate installed in closet and behind TV. Cat5e cable run from office router to wall plate in closet to connect BD Player, Receiver and Sat box to the network. Everything is out of site, and reach of my children, and finally no wires running all over the place. Installed Air vent inside the closet and another opposite in the bedroom hallway to pull in fresh air and installed a fan system in the top of the closet to get maximum air flow and keep components cool (especially the PS3 which we all know runs nice an hot). Sorry about the quality of the pictures will take more in better lighting and post later.
