Default Rob Zombie on Halloween 2

This is from Blabbermouth and these are Rob Zombie's thoughts on the new Halloween:

Rob Zombie began principal photography on Monday (February 23) for his sequel to "Halloween", tentatively titled "H2". The follow-up to the rocker-turned-director's 2007 hit remake of the horror classic is due out at the end of August. Zombie posted a message on his MySpace blog about the start of shooting, writing that "we made it through the first three days. Everything is going great. This film is going to blow away my last trip to Haddonfield. Ultra-gritty, ultra-intense and very real. Here is a sneak peek [see below] of Laurie moments after being wheeled into the ER."

"H2" is shooting in Georgia.

Zombie said in one recent interview that the new film will focus less on serial killer Michael Myers and more on his sister, Laurie, played by Scout Taylor-Compton.

I am afraid this is going to really suck. How can you NOT focus on Michael Myers. The girl who played Laurie Strode SUCKED! I liked the remake of Halloween. I wasnt thrilled with it, but all in all, I liked it more than I hated it, but I am really afraid for this one.

I'll give it a try. With that said, not focusing on MM is suicide IMO. That's what fans want. I just hope he is more evil & menacing. He was a "D" bag in the remake.

The original H2 suffered cause they focused too much on Laurie in the Hospital.

I can't believe the short shooting schedule behind this one. Seems really fast, but I doubt he had to wait on any of those horrible actresses he had in the last one to finish up any movies they might be in the middle of shooting.

They were probably waiting on Rob Zombie.

Doesn't seem fast to me at all, 5 months between now and August.

2 months of filming {on average} and that leaves 3 months for Post Production.

Zombie's version of "gritty and real": Michael Myers cookin' up grits to go along with a nice bottle of moonshine and a shot of Sheri Moon-Zombie either nude or very close to it. Laurie will be so traumatized by the events in the first Halloween she becomes a hooker in the deep south. The ending will probably take place in a dirty, roach infested motel somewhere near El Paso where Meyers kills a bunch of Mexicans in his pursuit of Laurie.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I could only wish! LOL!!!!!! If Tarantino stepped in the hotel would be vampires like in From Dusk Till Dawn.

The current script could only get worse if George Lucas stepped in to help out.

I disagree with that. I rather see Lucas and Boll colibrate before Zombie. He needs to stick to music.

So among one of the issues of the first was how they made Michael too human by focusing on him too much, now Zombie says he's going to focus on him less, this could be a good thing.

My expectations are VERY low for this one, almost lower than the last time. Will I see it? Most likely...

Horrible acting is what killed the first one as well. When you are doing a remake/reimagining of any classic movie, you better be prepared for whatever criticisms come. The less you give people to criticize, the better. Zombie's first effort really got lost with a lot of the horrible cliche acting.

Dr. Loomis rocked.

Everyone from there was hit or miss for me...with a lot of misses.

Sham-wow that's strong. Not a popular opinion, but one I agree with. I really wanted to like all three of his films, but I couldn't do it.

I think I'll pass on this one.
Rob Zombie may have suckered me in on the first one, but not again.

please show her t*ts or v*g....thats all i ask ROb.....

but really, ROB is not a character driven director, its not about the quality of acting, its about getting it done quick, with about 50 different angles, and lots of blood....he still has lots to learn

It just occurred to me... why the hell am I going to see this?! Yesterday I said how disappointed with the first one I was, I watched Saw V because I had seen the first four but knew exactly what I was getting. This one I saw all the old ones (minus Ressurection), the remake of the original... I don't need to see this one, nor should I feel obligated to if I don't like the direction haha.

Someone will drag me to it, I'm almost certain.

The first one horrible and now it looks like he's changing it to Her-oween. Please, Rob, just go back out on tour and shoot off lots of fireworks above your retro-chiq dancing girls. I'll come see your work then.

I remember going to see the remake when it came out...very excited. I remember seeing the original way back in the 70's and totally freaked out by it. So I was hoping the new one would be a nice homage to the original. I was actually able to talk my wife into seeing it with me. After about the first 5 minutes...I knew I was going to hate it. It was such a letdown.
Now a sequel? Such a shame.

Love it!! Don't forget to include that Sheri Moon-Zombie will be covered
in blood and slime, Laurie will say the F-bomb 265 times, and there might
be one appealing character in the flick for the purpose of having the most
sadistic and revolting death scene!! Thanks but no thanks Mr Zombie....
