I don't have any blu-ray movies except for the terminator as I was curious to see a blu-ray disc case and what the face menu would like like for the movie, however I don't have a flat panel TV. I compared the look of the terminator on blu-ray vs regular DVD and they look the same. The playstation 3 makes a great blu-ray player as it's less expensive then the other blu-ray players. I've been reading about blu-ray since it was introduced last summer I think with the samsung player. Blu-ray has needed some time to get up to speed, but it looks like things are taking shape. The only thing that we're missing is a blu-ray box set of something like the matrix or all four batman films.

^ By saying you "don't have a flat panel TV" are you also trying to say it's not an HDTV? Just wanted to make it clear.

Tell me about it. I have 98 Blu-ray movies to date (as of this post). That's since the day the PS3 was released. So in 6 months and 1 day, that's my #. See my sig. below (link) to see my full collection.

I received 2 other movies today on top of POTC, including Dirty Dancing & Flags of our Fathers (another that isn't releasing until Tuesday)...

Thanks.
Looks as though it's mostly gamer posts. 'Gamekid', don't you have a PS3? Or you just researching for a future purchase?

*** AHEM... back on topic after this... ***

The terminator isn't exactly showcasing blu-ray's ability. Rent something like Kingdom of Heaven, Crank, Casino Royale or one of the animated movies. Then compares those to any dvd and you'll see a huge difference.
