Cool Mismatching Polks and Kilspchs?

My current set up is in my signature. There is a guy in my town selling 2 Klipsch Synergy III F-1 for $200. Would these work for surrounds? Or should I stick with Polks since that is what my center and fronts are?

Thanks

I had Klipsch S-1's used with Polk Monitor fronts.. Didn't notice any difference when watching movies since it's just surrounds. For music I didn't use my surrounds though so if you use all your speakers for music you probably will notice a difference for sure.

I use Yamahas for my surrounds, and haven't had a problem with it. The only time I had a problem was when I had a mixed center/front set up. It lasted about 2 days before I got aggravated with it.

Try to stick to one company for speakers it's going to sound pretty odd I would think.

Yes it would fine. Don't mix your center and fronts, but you can mix the rears different then from the front stage.

If you go thru the gallery you will plenty of people with mixed front's and rears

You can use any brand of speaker for your rears as they do not have timbre match your fronts and center. They will sound just fine!
