how does trading go about? - Blu-ray Forum

i asked how do you sell, but now im curious on how you trade? do we just pm each other our adresses? thanks

I haven't traded before, but I am assuming that the person with the lowest trade score sends first, and pms the other person with a delivery confirmation number, then the other does the same

It's basically built on trust....you reach an agreement vs PM, send each other the addresses, and drop the movies in the mail. I have never been asked to mail first as a result of having a lower trading score; in fact, the trader rating system is fairly new. The idea is that everybody here is dedicated to the furthering of HT as a hobby, and therefore has no reason to be cheating anybody. We've had only a few bad apples in the bunch, but for the most part trading goes off without a hitch.
