watching this right after age of ultron really shows how crap ultron was.

Still think AOU isn't anywhere near as bad as everyone makes out. It's just a decent film surrounded by very good films. There's enough good character beats and action to keep me interested.

Seeing Civil War in 18 mins and I can't wait.

I think you're massively exaggerating. People aren't hating on it left, right and centre but rather your view that it's decent but that the films around it are much better is the majority one. Same for Ant-Man. 2015 was not the best Marvel year.

I thought AoU was brilliant and Ant Man a little weak, but whatever, we all have different opinions.

Day one purchase for this. Gonna be awesome!

Saw it at midnight, I'm not the biggest marvel fan but I thought it was by far THE best one so far. Seeing it again tomorrow in 3D.

Ordered the steelbook based on rave reviews. Saw it yesterday and thought it was by far the best Marvel film to date. FINALLY the Spider-Man we got in the comic books. Black Panther impressed too. Quite amazed that they got so many characters into the film and yet managed to allow all of them to breathe for a change.

I thought Ant-Man and Ultron were average and after so many comic book movies and TV shows I was feeling a bit burnt out. Especially after the travesty of BvS made the idea of a Versus film seem so unappealing...then I saw the film...

It's wonderful. It COULD be an Avengers film but it definitely does complete the Cap-Bucky arc of his solo films and tonally it's very much of a piece with Winter Soldier. I also think the lower stakes here wouldn't be what the public now expect in an Avengers film. There's no world threat, no evil genius wanting to dominate here. Rest assured though EVERY Avengers gets a chance to shine an so caught up was I that I forgot a couple of them were going to be in it.

Loved this film. Won't be getting the steelie since textless spines are the stupidest thing ever but will probably get the 3D version for the slipcover.

I wonder if they'll release this in a box set with the other Captain America movies? Surely they'll leave it at a trilogy rather than doing too many sequels?

There isn't room in the schedule until 2020 anyway, but they seem to be keeping tight lipped about what comes next - quite possibly because they don't want to spoil who the Infinity War introduces or kills off. Chris Evans has said he'd renew his contract, but maybe they have other plans...
I'm sure they'll do a triple pack as they have with Iron Man, but I wouldn't expect any extra content that's not already in the single releases.
