few questions about pre/pro Vs. AV/R

I have few questions.

I'll plan to buy new preamp/processor in the future.
I'm interesting Outlaw Audio New 997 pre/pro

Which is less heat preamp/processor or AV/Receiver?

What's your opinion about preamp/processor is good quality?

What's different Processor and AV/Receiver?

a preamp or processor has no amp intergrated into it like a avr. An avr would generate more heat in my opinion, how much more I have no idea. when running seperates, you could get you a pre/pro for the video processing etc... and the amp would be powering your speakers.

Hi OPI,

A separate Pre-Pro generates LESS heat than a Receiver (A/V or Stereo) because it has no internal power amplifiers.

In terms of quality between the two, that is a tougher nut to crack as it depends on the units one is considering. In general however, separating out your componants is a smart thing as you now have componants that specialize in one function and not several.

Receiver has a Tuner, Processor/Preamp and an Amplifier all built-in to one unit. A Pre/Pro only functions as the brains of your system and directs what has to go where and how.

My advice OPI....get that Outlaw Pre/Pro 997 since you already have the Outlaw Power Amp.

Processor/Preamp is perfect for home theatre.

I consider, that really tough. AV/Receiver has everythings cause overheat.

sorry, i'm bit confusion.

The Outlaw amp 7-channel will ship. Outlaw Audio don't have a preamp for sale.

I'm use my receiver for Stereo 2 to 7-channel and an seperates amplifier.

Outlaw Audio does sell preamps. They currently sell their old model preamp the model 990 but if you can wait I would get the new model 997.

I think He said,"preamps." = preamplifiers. I was misunderstand.

Outlaw Audio does not have 2-channel amp Stereo for sale!!!

pre/pro is model 990 and new 997.
I've ordred Outlaw Amplifier 7-channel model#7125, that's not stereo??

Receiver has Stereo and in build amps. using two or more independent audio channels.

They do sell mono block amplifiers if you need another amplifier for one channel or get two for two channel use. Their 990 and 997 are surround sound processor/pre-amplifiers

I know that what mean 7 channel.

Dvd format have not 7.1 channel audio, most on 5.1 channel and sometime are 6.1 channel

Outlaw does sell preamps. preamp goes to amp to speakers.
