Default Never buy blu-rays from Barne's and Noble

Had some time at lunch today and went browsing through BnN. Thought hey, maybe I'll pick up a blu. That is until I saw the prices they are actually charging! It's no wonder the typical customer sees blu titles and thinks it's too expensive. Nothing under $30. Dark Knight was $35. Band of Brothers was $99. Needless to say, I walked out empty handed.

True...some stores just use different prices for some reason.

That's what you use their 50% off coupons for. Get a decent price on them that way.

I think most people know that B & N (Borders as well) charges MSRP for their BDs. However, these 2 places can be useful for the more difficult-to-find titles, AND some of their coupons are pretty darn good (especially the Borders weekly coupons).

best buy is a great place to shop for blu-ray's as is barnes and noble. i got u2's rattle and hum for $9.99 at barnes and noble. that's hard to beat. the problem though is their selection isn't too hot. otherwise they're a fine store for shopping. i like them.

do you like paying MSRP for blu-rays when you can get it a lot cheaper online? Retail stores are NOT good for purchasing blu-rays. Only a select few stores actually have sales and even then, the pickings are quite slim.

i only buy blu-ray's from retail stores and i never, never pay msrp for them. i've always found retail to be cheaper and hassle free when it comes to buying blu-rays. i will always support retail brick and mortar stores though. i'm not a fan on online shopping much.

I personally don't understand it, but hey...to each his own.

The big titles rarely go on sale in retail stores. How do you deal with that?

I guess you're not a fan of saving money

Isn't all their media like that? Their DVDs and CDs are retail priced too. I haven't purchased books from them lately, but all of their books, except for the top sellers, used to be retail too.

I did a quick Google to try and find that avatar, and of course ended up with something totally different (SFW, but possibly barf-inducing).
