The updated scenes and plot points to not make up for the weird story beats and the uneven pacing.

The theatrical cut was already great, but the Ultimate Cut moved it up to masterpiece status, at least as far as comic book films are concerned.

Since you've started this poll to prove a point, how about starting another one that addresses the point that was actually made? That one about people who hated the theatrical cut not being won over by the UE? It's not in dispute that many of those who liked the theatrical liked the UE more (in fact that point was clearly stated), but a poll where those people reiterate that doesn't make a case for the UE turning haters into fans.

Yeah I already liked the theatrical and the Ultimate Edition improved it. Still have some issues. But I have watched this movie a few times.

For sure, it's a night and day difference between the two cuts.

The theatrical cut was jarring the first time with its slow burn to an explosive climax after the bombastic, relentless attacks in Man of Steel. It took me 3 full visits to the theater to finally appreciate BvS.

When the UE was released, I bought it instantly on iTunes and was blown away by how much better the story flowed. Since then, I've seen it so many times that it has solidified itself as not only the best DCEU film so far, but one of my top 3 favorite comic book films.

The Africa sub-plot made sense in the Ultimate Edition where in the theatrical it did not. That, along with the fact that everything in general is more fleshed out and as intended by Snyder, makes it an improvement by default.

I thought the theatrical was a great edit. I just felt like Batman dominated the screen time over Superman a bit too much. The Ultimate cut was more balanced, because I think it added the Clark Kent investigation scenes. I had no trouble understanding any of the plot in the theatrical cut though.
