I am finally going to have my own Home Theater!!! We will close on our new home in December, which gives me time to research and budget for all of my components.

Here is the room so far:
Front wall with a little MS Paint to illustrate screen size

12/03/08: Sheetrock Complete!!!


This is where the A/V Components will go



11/30/08: The house is being Insulated now.








Here are the components I have in mind:

1. Epson ProLite Home Cinema 1080UB Projector or Panasonic PT-AE3000
2. EliteScreens 120" Cinewhite (1.1 gain) or Powergain (1.8 gain) 16x9 screen
3. Onkyo TX-SR875 7.1 Receiver: 140 watts per channel, THX Ultra2, 4 HDMI inputs, 1.3a



4. Panasonic DMP-BD35K
5. Monster PowerCenter HTS-3600MKII
6. Front Speakers: PolkAudio RTi10s (I got these set up already in my current HT)



7. Center Speaker: Polk CSi5




8. Surround Sides and Backs: Polk FXiA6 (Start with 5.1, upgrade later)




9. Subwoofer: Polk PSW505 or Elemental Designs A2-300 (by popular demand)
10. All cables and wiring purchased from Monoprice.com
11. Seating to be purchased after color scheme is finalized
12. Curtains, wall treatments, and movie posters (Star Wars, Matrix, Batman/Dark Knight)


What do y'all think? Based on my estimates the above components, and counting the seating, will run me about $8000 after tax and shipping. I am hoping to put the pieces together along the way so I can get the best deals possible. Perhaps I can get some great prices the day after Thanksgiving?
