Default Choppy/Unwatchable on all players

Heres the deal, I cant get any player to play my blu-ray movies smoothly everything is choppy, blocky, and unwatchable. I have all my drivers up to date and my system specs are q6600 overclocked to 3ghz, 9800gtx+, 4 gigs of ram, and a sony bdu-x10s with the latest firmware. I have tried every different setting combination in the different players that I can think of and nothing seems to work. Anyone know what the problem could be?

What software player are you using? Double check you have the latest version.

have you double checked that hardware acceleration is turned on?

HDCP compliant monitor/TV? What type of TV? what type of resolution? Output using dvi/HDMI?

Try run your CPU at default speed
Install only the official driver from Nvidia or manufacturer site. Do not use the hacked driver as BD is very particular of which driver it can uses.

ive tried every setting combination in bios as well, stock speeds, underclocked, etc. all to no avail. and i only use the official release drivers. not even beta. all of which are up to date. i even tried underclocking my gpu and vram by half. nothing, is it possible that my vid card is shot?

is the video/sound all choppy? OR just the video?

If its just the video, and the sound is fine, then obviously the graphics card isnt set up right

If its both, then the possibilities go for a while

CPU: should be fine, especially overclocked. Are you sure you have the right kind of memory to handle an overclocked CPU? 1066 ddr2 im guessing?

my friend also has a 6600 quad core, and a BFG 9800, and he has flawless playback

What brand of computer is it? If it's Toshiba, then you're f**ked, just like me.
