Default What to do with a DVD when you got the BD?

Alright, so I've started getting the movies I love on Blu-ray, those I already have on DVD. Usually, if I buy a DVD I don't like, I give it away - I'm not a 'collector of everything'.

But it does feel kind of strange giving away my beloved DVDs, even if I got the Blu-Ray.

What is your take on this? Do you keep them both? Sell the DVD? Put them together on a shelf to live happily ever after?

I guess what I'm really asking is, "do you think the DVD is worth collecting?"

They make good coasters. Or inanimate pet type objects. Mine plays with my pet rock.

I sold a bunch of my dvds to dvdplanet for credit. They were pretty fair with what they'd give and then I used that money to buy more Blus from them. Granted their Blu-rays are expensive but hey, its better than nothing.

I've switched probably 100-125 of my DVDs to blu-ray, I've managed to sell 98% of the DVDs at work for $4-$5 each.

I've "upgraded" (can't say replaced) about 40 DVDs with Blu-rays now..... I keep them all, but it's mostly because

1) I'm somewhat of a collector
2) I have an in-dash player in my jeep
3) I have 3 televisions (well 2 TVs and 1 projector) and only 2 blu-ray players.
4) they're not worth anything

If they are children's movies I store them on my son's shelf, if they suck, I give them as christmas presents to people I dislike.

Well on sunny Sundays you could go to your local park and play frees-bee with your DVD, you can do that with friends or kids and everybody would have fun.

I have kept my dvds so far but I am seriously considering selling them as soon as possible. The one thing holding me back is the low value that used dvds have in the marketplace.

Either sell them to a store that accepts, or recycle them as Christmas Presents.

i've sold off a few of the ones i replaced
and a couple of others have been given to my cousin to repay some money i owed him

as for the 25-30 i have left to upgrade (which wont be until like august), i told all my friends that i will be selling them all off for 5bucks each (except LotR if its not out yet) and they were interested, so thats a decent amount of cash (125-150bucks), and i'll use it to buy some other blu-rays most likely
