okay so it's driving me crazy and I gotta know what this movie was called.

It was a 90's suspense/horror movie where the kid is a killer. I remember he has a crush on a girl next door who I think was also his baby sitter, and he kills her boyfriend outside in the hot tub by throwing a radio into the hot tub.

I believe the movie you are looking for is Mikey (1992). It starred Family Ties co-star Brian Bonsall. Kind of an odd movie as I recall:
